Over the next three weeks, we will experience additional disruption to our car park. As part of the new fire safety requirements, the Club must install its own fire hydrant which will be positioned outside the new clubhouse facility. This necessitates the installation of an onsite water tank and pumping system, which will supply high-pressure water to the fire hydrant in case of a fire. As outlined in the Development Application (DA), the new pump station will be situated on the western side of the Pro Shop. Consequently, we will need to excavate the car park and lay a pipe from the new tank to the clubhouse entry. Please refer to the diagram below for clarification. The yellow line is the temporary path everyone will need to take to access the Pro Shop. Red lines will be the temporary fencing. Blue lines are existing fencing.
The installation of these works will take around three weeks and will result in disruption to both the car park and the Pro Shop entry. In the longer term, we will also lose parking spaces on the western side of the Pro Shop.
Please take note of the following new directive for all members and guests entering the Pro Shop: DO NOT TAKE GOLF CARTS BEYOND THE CAR PARK BOUNDARY. We have activated the GPS systems to prevent this action. There may be some congestion around the entry gate to the Club, so please exercise caution and adhere to all directional signs.
Parking Near the Practice Nets
During the aforementioned disruption, we will modify the 7th hole to be played as a short Par 4 from the front tee. This will allow for additional parking near the practice nets and workshop area. However, please note that workshop parking will only be available on Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday, when the greens team are not on site.
Boathouse Begin Renovation Works
In addition to the above works, the Boathouse have now commenced the upper floor renovation works. The fit-out works should be completed by the end of April 2024, in line with the completion date for the new clubhouse opening in May 2024.
Due to the works commencing parking will be prohibited in the directors parking or driveway.
