Exciting news! We are approximately 5 weeks away from entering our new clubhouse facilities.
I would like to update you on the key dates and goals, which will occur over before our doors open for service.
- Friday 12th April – The toilets will be removed from near the Proshop, this is due to the sewer being removed near the back of the clubhouse
- We have installed three portaloos in the car park near the 10th green (see map, marked in purple)
- The remaining toilets on the 5th/6th holes and the 15th tee will remain until we get full access to the Clubhouse facilities.
- Friday 19th April – We will reach practical works completion. This means all trades will be off-site with the exception of the car park bitumen/disabled parking project.
- Saturday 20th April – The car park area near the entrance to the clubhouse will be re-surfaced with new bitumen and completed.
- Monday 22nd April – The site fencing will be removed, and we hope to get most of the car park back in operation by later that week
- From Monday 22nd April – We have all the certifiers on site to sign off trades for the occupational certification as well as a full inspection for defects and quality control measures
- Monday 22nd April – We will commence the landscaping project, which will be carried out by the Club. The landscaped areas include the frontage and sides of the new deck area, as well as an area located near the disabled parking at the entrance to the club
- From Monday 22nd April – The new Club furniture will be as delivered and assembled, ready for installation once we get the occupational certificate.
- From Tuesday 23rd April – The clubhouse eves and upstairs windows will painted and should take around two weeks to complete. This work could not be completed until Mammoth were off-site.
- Monday 13th May – We hope to have all the occupational certificates completed
- From Monday 20th May – We plan to have the Clubhouse ready for the membership
- The Boathouse are planning a similar time frame and also expects to be open by mid-May
- The temporary facilities will be removed in stages depending on access to the Club and our F&B offering.
A Clubhouse grand opening is planned, however, we will initially open the doors to the membership, have an informal opening and ensure everything is working. We want our members to get the first view of the new facilities. A grand opening will be planned around June/July, which will include the Boathouse and a fun weekend of golf, music and food and beverages.
Once again, I would like to thank the entire membership for your patience during a very difficult period of the redevelopment of the Clubhouse. Thank you for supporting the temporary facilities and especially the continued patronage of our wonderful marquee. Some members have requested a smaller version of the marquee be retained, however I think the 1st tee will get priority.
