As many of you have seen, the clubhouse is close to practical completion. We have had some minor compliance issues with our water tank and are currently working through the defect list and preparing for occupational certificates. We should give practical completion to Mammoth in the coming days, which means we can start painting the externals of the clubhouse, this includes the balcony, the entrance and all the eaves. The Boathouse will paint the outside of the windows, which will pretty much complete the entire renovation for both the Club and the Boathouse.
While the occupational certificates are getting prepared, we will move all small consumables into the Club and get the bar and kitchen ready for service. Unfortunately, we are not permitted to use the Club for any services including the toilets and locker rooms until they have been certified. We apologise for the extended period using the temporary toilets, the end is not far away before you will have hot water, real toilets and even foot baths!
We hope to receive our occupational certificates around the 29th of May. This date is dependent on all the occupational certificates being approved. I would estimate that we will have access to the Club in the first week of June. The Boathouse is hoping to open on Thursday, the 30th of May.
Food & Beverages
The Waterview Cafe will operate the new food offering at Mona Vale Golf Club. Its team of experienced chefs, cooks, and baristas will serve healthy, delicious, and fresh breakfast and lunch accompanied by hot beverages and smoothies to our members and the wider community.
We understand the importance of convenience for our golfers, which is why the cafe is open every day from 6.30am to 3pm. For those who have a later round or would like to enjoy some afternoon snacks, there is a reduced menu from 3pm to 6pm on Wednesday to Sunday.
Our venue now has a large deck and expansive views which make us the perfect place to enjoy food and beverages with family and friends. The new cafe includes a kids’ menu, and for adults, our new bar offers 12 beers on-tap and a variety of your most loved beverages.
We are excited to have the new group from The Waterview Cafe join our team to provide the Mona Vale Golf Club experience that our members and the community have been patiently waiting for.
