Mona Vale Golf Club narrowly fell to Castle Hill, 3.5 to 2.5, in another tightly contested match for our Junior Pennant team.The competition was fierce, with all games played in great spirits under the pressure of a hot day and the challenging Stonecutters Ridge layout. The matches saw intense, back-and-forth battles throughout.
Team captain Hugh Grant returned to the winners’ circle, securing a thrilling 2-up victory with a brilliant up-and-down on the final hole. Lucas Harris also delivered an impressive performance, maintaining his lead throughout the day to win 3 & 2.Despite our team’s strong effort, Castle Hill proved slightly better, delivering multiple clutch eagles and birdies that tipped the scales in their favour. Congratulations to Castle Hill for their excellent play. Although the result puts us out of contention for the division win, our team remains determined and looks forward to ending the season on a high note with our final match against North Ryde at Oatlands this Sunday.
