Hole 12
The 12th Hole – Par 4
The twelfth is a sharp dogleg left, a straight tee shot is imperative. If you are a shorter hitter, aim for the right hand side of the fairways, which may give you a view of the green. If you hit around 200 meters from the tee, you will have a short iron to a three-tiered green. A new green with three bunkers, avoid the short left bunker as its deep and very tough.
Stroke Index 7 for the men and 4 for the ladies, this can be a difficult hole. Always a challenge on stroke events. There is lots of trouble on the left in the trees. Very difficult 2nd shot for most female players – never a bad idea to lay up in front of the green and avoid the bunkers.
PRO TIP:
The right hand corner of the fairway, on the bend, is the perfect position for your first shot. Attempt the dog leg carry off the tee ONLY with a strong ‘nor-easter’ behind. A mid to short iron will get you safely on the right to left green avoiding the long bunker on the right.
