The 16th Hole – Par 3
The 16th hole is the signature hole at Mona Vale, fantastic par 3 overlooking the beach and Tasman Sea, you hit down hill to a rolling green only 130 metres away. The vertical drop is some 15 metres from the back marker and it is great to smash your lofted club skyward, watching your ball pitch on the green below. You may see the local dolphins frolicking in the surf if your lucky.
The green has a tier at the back of the green and quite a few spines and swales, don’t miss long. Although a short Par 3, bogeys are often made.
PRO TIP:
Be careful of the wind. Generally take one more club than you think. Try to fly the ball to the same level as the pin. Green very fast from front to back.
